guys. i literally have an issue. i am obsessed with christmas. (you should see my pinterest, @indiansummerca) as soon as the halloween decorations start coming out, i start bringing christmas decorations out. it is absurd. poor james wants to kill me. it's something about the scents, the happiness i feel. anyways... i LOVE christmas candles. i usually stock up at bath and body works, voluspa, and small boutiques house brands. i know some of you don't like the toxic oils, or un-natural scents so i'm here to solve your worries. HOME MADE CHRISTMAS POTPOURRI.

what you need:
2-3 handfuls of cranberries.
1 orange.
1 lemon.
about 4-6 cinnamon sticks.
1 tsp. allspice berries.
1 tsp. whole cloves.
2-3 sprigs of rosemary.
1 peppermint candy-cane (or peppermint essential oil.).

how to do it:
slice orange and lemon.
break candy cane into smaller chunks.
fill the pot about 1/2 full with water.
fill the pot with your ingredients.
bring to a boil, and then turn down to a simmer as you want this scent to last all day.
if the water starts to evaporate, continue to add to ensure it doesn't go dry.
